Q: Where do the Pack and Dens meet?
A: Most meetings will be held at Bluffsview Elementary (7111 Linworth Rd, Columbus, OH 43235). Some Pack and Den meetings might be held at a different location to help complete adventures, hikes, camping, and other fun activities. All location information will be emailed and in our calendar.
Q: What days to the Dens and Pack meet?
A: The Pack (all grades) meets the first or second (2nd) Tuesday of every month from 6:30 to 8:00. Each Den (grade) coordinates another day of the week to meet; typically 1-2 times per month. Oftentimes they are Tuesdays or Wednesdays.
Q: What are Dens?
A: Each Den is made up of the same grade and gender Scouts. This allows for the leaders to lead them through adventures for each rank that are age appropriate.
Q: What is the difference between a Den and a Pack meeting?
A: Dens are smaller groups of similar age groups of Scouts. Pack meetings include all Dens and their parents. Pack meetings supply important information to parents, and typically consist of larger activities.
Q: How much does it cost to join Cub Scouts at Pack 234?
A: The total cost for 2023-2024 is $265. This can consist of an outright payment or we have several variations of dues/fundraising to make Cub Scouts affordable. Please don't let the cost get in the way of signing up! Just reach out if you have questions. These dues National Membership Fees, activities (such as Pinewood Derby, Blue & Gold Banquet), Regular Pack & Den Meetings, Class B T-Shirt, and advancement supplies.
Q: What type of activities do the Pack and Dens do?
A: We are a very active Pack with a lot of opportunities for your family. Some of our favorites include our campouts (Fall, Spring, and an Educational), Pinewood Derbies, monthly hikes, Clippers Camporee (sleeping on the outfield), and Cub Scout Day Camp! We change up the events every year to keep it exciting for the Scouts.
